Chungbuk High School’s rugby team won the runner-up spot in the high school division at the 76th National Rugby Championship and the 31st Youth National Team Selection for the Korea-China-Japan Junior Games, held at the Eulji District Field of the Seoul Military Academy from Nov. 21 to 27. The tournament was held to select youth 먹튀검증 representatives under the age of 19 to participate in the Korea-China-Japan Junior Games, which will resume after a three-year hiatus.

Twelve teams from across the country participated in the 9 and under (high school) division of the tournament. Chungbuk High School defeated Gyeongsan High School and Daegu Sangwon High School in the preliminaries to advance to the quarterfinals, where they defeated powerhouse Baejae High School to reach the final.

In the final against Seoul’s Yangjeong High School, the team showed its unique teamwork and tactics, but lost 19-17 and finished as runners-up.

“It was a good game where we led throughout,” said Kim Hyung-ki, head coach of the Chungbuk High School rugby team, “and I think we achieved good results by focusing on training to improve our endurance and physical strength.”
