The Los Angeles Dodgers cruised to a 6-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Monday (Sept. 9) at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Dodgers, who had lost four 스포츠토토 straight after falling 3-6 to the New York Yankees on April 4, were led by a strong performance from left-handed ace Clayton Kershaw to snap the losing streak.
Kershaw pitched seven innings of five-hit, nine-strikeout, two-walk ball to improve to 8-4 on the season. Kershaw has won his last two starts in a row. He picked up the win against the Yankees on March 3 with seven innings of two-run ball.
The game was tied 0-0 through two innings. Kershaw gave up a leadoff single to Kevin Newman but got a strikeout and a double play to end the first inning.
In the third, the Dodgers took the lead. James Outman led off with a walk and Austin Barnes followed with an infield single. Mookie Betts followed with a walk and Freddie Freeman singled.
After J.D. Martinez flied out to center field, Max Muncy drew a walk and David Peralta hit a two-run double to center field to make it 3-0.
Kershaw, who had pitched a no-hitter, got three more runs in the fourth inning. Chris Taylor led off the fourth with a solo home run, and after an outman drew a walk, Barnes singled.
Betts singled and Freeman followed with a sacrifice fly to put the Dodgers up 6-0. With plenty of run support, Kershaw pitched a scoreless seventh inning. He looked shaky in the fifth inning, giving up back-to-back singles and a walk, but his slider, curveball, and four-seam fastball got him out of the inning.
Kershaw gave up back-to-back singles in the sixth, but struck out two to keep the game scoreless. In the seventh, Kershaw retired the side in order. Taylor Scott took over on the mound in the eighth and ninth innings to preserve the win.
